About Wandering Doula
Hi, I’m Ellie — a DONA-certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, wife, and mama of two. I’ve been supporting families since 2018, with a little break in between to raise my own babies. That time gave me space to slow down, listen deeply, and really strengthen my intuition. Now I’m back — grounded, present, and so honored to walk alongside women during birth and postpartum.
I support all kinds of births and all kinds of families — hospital, home, birth center, medicated, unmedicated — it’s all valid, and it’s all beautiful. My job is to show up for you in a real, unconditional way, without waiting to be asked. I believe women are made for this, and that every birthing person deserves to feel informed, empowered, and in charge of their choices.
My approach to postpartum support is rooted in my own experience as a mom — breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping, and just tuning into my babies’ needs with a holistic and intuitive mindset. But I also know the day-to-day realities: the messy laundry, the need for nourishing meals, the deep exhaustion. I love helping with the practical stuff — folding a load of laundry, stocking your freezer with easy meals, or doing overnight shifts so you can wake up rested to a clean kitchen and a fresh start.
I bring a grounded, steady presence and a heart-led approach to everything I do — and I’m often laughing right alongside my clients. I serve families in Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the surrounding areas. I’d love to connect if you’re looking for real, intuitive support on your journey.

Childbirth Education Classes
My childbirth education classes are designed to empower and inform expecting parents about the birthing process, comfort measures, and the various options available to them. I aim to help you feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead.
Birth Doula
As a birth doula, I offer 3 different packages for labor & birth services. Each experience provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to you and your partner before, during, and just after childbirth. I am dedicated to helping you have a positive and empowering birth experience.
Postpartum Doula
My postpartum doula services are designed to provide nurturing and practical support to new parents. From assisting house-hold tasks, with newborn care to offering emotional encouragement, I am here to help you thrive during the postpartum period.
